Beaujolais Wine Region

The Beaujolais Wine Region is located in eastern France on beautiful undulating hills, encompassing nearly 50,000 acres of vineyards. The region experiences an overall temperate climate, with Mediterranean-like summer weather and cold, dry winter weather. Best known for its fruity red wines, the Beaujolais region and the Gamay grape variety became popular in the 19th century.
